I'm Matthias, a PhD candidate in Management at ESSEC.

I am fascinated by innovation in decentralized contexts. My studies investigate how solution seekers can structure collaboration to (1) harness support from distributed participants and (2) improve collective intelligence and problem-solving. My investigations span various empirical contexts, including crowdfunding and online deliberation.

Before entering academia, I gathered seven years of work experience in the consumer goods industry and with boutique strategy and innovation consulting firms.

I have an MBA with Distinction (Valedictorian) from the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bolzano, Italy.
